Consuelo is a smart hotel located in the southern limits of Porto in Portugal. It was designed by Estudio Maria Santos and Lerma de Salas. The room you see now was a router designed to let users navigate there a variety of spaces. The router was grounded on the perimeter wall, so using it was almost an industrial gesture, and an artistic choice.
Consuelo is situated in the middle part of “Casa Miquel” and it connects the sea side and the city. Its facade is extremely beautiful, and it connects the lovely patio spaces with the interior rooms. The raw concrete walls, have a rough texture, but the wood gives them elegance and reminds you of the coziness that makes a home so inviting.
The interior provides a lot of warmth, through wooden floors, slats and glass doors, and the whiteness of the walls and the light from the windows provides a cozy feeling. Everything is modern and pleasant and you may also dream about the wonderful views.Your senses are wonderful, and you can also admire the natural flowers and the green garden which surrounds the hotel.
